This delicious crumble is so easy to make. Its clever blend of warming spices makes it very easy to digest. It can give you the heat you need at breakfast or make children happy at snack time.


Ingredients for 4 people

  • 2 apples
  • 2 pears
  • 50 g of nut flour of your choice (almond, pistachio or hazelnut)
  • 50 g of wheat flour (or another flour of your choice)
  • 50 g of sugar (jaggery)
  • 1,5 à 2 teaspoons of spices mix (see below)
  • 50 g nuts butter
  • 30 g coconut oil

Introduction

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Peel the pears and apples, remove the seeds and cut into small, uniform cubes. Place in a casserole dish. Mix the following spices together:

  • 1 teaspoon of ground cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla powder

Blend the sugar, flour, nut flour and spices in a medium bowl. Using your fingers, blend in
the nut butter and coconut oil, until a crumbly mixture forms. Spread mixture over the fruit
and cook for 25 to 30 minutes.

Serve warm.


 Tip 

  • For Kapha: choose quinoa or corn flour
  • For Vata: choose ghee instead of coconut oil
  • I like to add some finely chopped hazelnuts
  • Use the spice mix to make a hot drink
