
Dosas crepes
Dosas are traditional Indian crepes that are eaten as a bread substitute. Delicious and
natural, they can be eaten with vegetables, dhal, chutney, curry and anything you desire.
The recipe is very simple and tasty, and just requires a bit of preparation.
Ingredients for 4 to 6 dosas or une 20 smalls crepes
In a large bowl filled with water soak overnight
- 1 cup of rice
- 1/2 cup of mung beans (small green soy beans)
- 1 teaspoon of fenugreek seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
The next day, rinse the mixture and then blend in the following ingredients using a blender or hand blender:
The batter should should have the same consistency as a crepe batter. On a hot, non-stick pan, spread a thin layer of the batter. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes on each side. You can also add some fresh herbs such as coriander, parsley or chives, or finely chopped onion (not for Pitta).
Serve warm with the garnish of your choice: chutney, dal or a salad.
Tip:
People with a Kapha constitution can add some mustard seeds into the batter after it has been blended together.
